The scene plays out on repeat. Each day begins: Four walls. Two monitors. Log-in. Screens glow. Reminders pop-up. Browser tabs proliferate. Zoom. Mute. Unmute. No really, unmute. “Are you talking?” “Hey, we think you’re on mute.” (sigh)
For three seasons, eight months, roughly 35 weeks, endless days and countless hours. The walls feel like they are starting to close-in and the days begin to blur. While we’re grateful to be here and working, we know that working remote is not easy. Good news is that there’s a way to shake ourselves out of this funk.
According to American writer, Andrew Solomon, “the opposite of depression is not happiness, but vitality.” We’ve found an easy way to bring good vibrations back into our lives, and in particular, into our home offices. There is nothing more vital to getting through a hard time than a little music. So, we’re taking a detour from our usual blog posts and sharing a list of our favorite songs because when the going gets tough for the Covestic team, we play music. And we might be onto something: The American Music Therapy Association says music can promote wellness, help us manage stress, enhance memory, improve communication and more.
We’ve created a Spotify list of top hits with a little help from our ServiceNow practice area team members. These are the songs that get our hearts beating and our feet tapping. As you might expect, the tracks represent a mixture of our styles and interests. Each song is unique in its own way, but when you play them all together, that’s where the magic happens. It’s like when you bring the Covestic team together with your team to make the most of your investment in ServiceNow!
