Global entertainment company employs ITSM to provide a reliable foundation for organizational change.
Getting IT executives aligned with the ITSM implementation
Providing a reliable foundation for organizational change
• Need for executive buy-in to move initiative forward
• Increasing requirement to deliver more with less
BUSINESS CHALLENGE
A global entertainment company’s IT organization had recently launched an improvement project that had failed to achieve the desired results. In order to re-jump start the effort, the leadership team needed to get 60 IT executives on board with a new approach.
To achieve this it was critical for these executives to get a clear and concise yet comprehensive understanding of IT service management, why to invest, what to do, and when to do it.
COVESTIC'S SOLUTION
Covestic partnered with the CIO to develop and deliver a two-day off site interactive workshop to actively engage the executives and provide hands on experience to effectively gain the necessary knowledge to support the new initiatives.
RESULTS
Within 2 weeks, Covestic partnered with the CIO to develop and deliver the workshop and at the end, the CIO had all 60 executives vote with their feet on whether they supported the improvement efforts. All but two were firmly behind the initative and those two only needed additional information.
DATA POINT
“People tend to view change management as a soft skill and more gut instinct, than science. That’s where they get it wrong.”*
